The Story Behind Rogz AirTech
Rogz cofounders Paul Fuller and Irené Raubenheimer share a passion for adventure and the ocean. These two Capetonians have sailed around the world, discovering new experiences that ultimately inspired a business built on creativity, fun, and being unconventional.
This adventurous spirit carries into Rogz product development, where new gear is inspired by pushing boundaries and embracing exploration. Out of this culture, the innovative AirTech Range of adventure pet gear was born.
Where Waves Meet Air
Extreme sports are at the core of Rogz DNA. Paul and Irené’s love for the ocean led them to water sports like surfing, diving, and kitesurfing. Kitesurfing, in particular, inspired the edge and functionality of the AirTech Range.
New Product Development Manager, Peter Metelerkamp, also a kitesurfing enthusiast, adapted these concepts for pets. This fusion of sport and practicality has resulted in multiple patents for the AirTech Range.

Kitesurfing is thrilling but risky, which drove the development of emergency quick-release systems. These allow kitesurfers to detach safely when overpowered. Key features include:

Rogz adapted this concept to pet gear, creating the AirTech Sport Belt & Lead emergency toggle, instantly separating humans and dogs when activated.

Inspired by kite lines made from Dyneema yarn, the patented Helium Tether is ultra-lightweight, noise-free, corrosion-free, and completely secure. A built-in quick-release ensures safety while maintaining freedom of movement.
